Guildford Business Forum Annual Conference

Organised by Guildford Business Forum, in partnership with our Economic Development team, the Guildford Business Forum Annual Conference took place on Wednesday 15 June.

The event held at the Guildford Means Business Exhibition at Surrey Sports Park offered an excellent opportunity to find out how innovation can drive growth and profits in business and what help is available, as well as encouraging local businesses to network.

Taking the conference theme of 'turning innovation into profit', the keynote speakers were Gordon Frewin of Unique-Secure, who described how his company turned innovative ideas into commercial success, and Simon Bond Director of the SET squared Partnership, who gave an informative talk on innovation support for business and the role of the award winning SET Squared Partnership.

David Bilbé, Lead Councillor for Economic Development celebrated the event's impact: "Guildford is second to none as a centre of innovation, with new ideas, technologies and partnerships emerging all the time. It was a pleasure to attend the Guildford Business Forum Conference and hear from some of the inspiring people driving Guildford's success.
