Guildford Philanthropy raises funds to support local initiatives

The new Chairman of Guildford Philanthropy, Peter Cluff, was introduced last night at a dinner held at the Guildhall to raise funds to support local good causes and charitable projects.

The aim of Guildford Philanthropy is to create and build a community fund to support projects that help our less advantaged residents. Guildford Borough Council provides match-funding for all donations received from private individuals and businesses.

The dinner was also attended by the Council's Leader, Cllr Paul Spooner, Cllr Nigel Manning - the Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Geoff Davis, Lead Councillor for Special Projects and Social Enterprise, and James Whiteman, Managing Director.
