Notice of European Parliamentary Election - Thursday 23 May 2019

The Election for 10 members of the European Parliament for the South East Region is due to take place on Thursday 23 May.

If you aren't already registered to vote, please do this as soon as you can. It takes just five minutes to register online before the 7 May deadline to vote in these elections at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

You can also contact our Electoral Services team using the details below for an application form if you don't have online access.

How to vote and more information

We will send out polling cards to all eligible electors. Polling stations will open at 7am and close at 10pm on Thursday 23 May. Please check on your card which polling station you will need to visit, as your polling station may have changed this time.

The deadline to apply to vote by post, or to change your existing postal voting arrangements, is 5pm on 8 May. If you need someone to vote on your behalf on 23 May, you can apply to appoint a proxy by 5pm on 15 May.

Nominations

Nomination papers must be delivered to the Regional Returning Officer (RRO) or his Deputy at Room 84, West Wing Basement, Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LY on any day after the date of this notice, Monday to Friday - 10am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays), but no later than 4pm on Thursday 25 April 2019.

Nomination papers may be obtained from the RRO's office, from the same place and during the same times stated above.
