Request a parking bay suspension

Find out how to apply for a parking bay suspension and the notice period required.

What is a suspension?

A parking bay suspension is a request for a specific parking space to be suspended temporarily.

We do this for:

  • building work
  • special events
  • weddings or funerals
  • filming
  • removals/deliveries
  • traffic movement and safety.

The suspension of parking bays are entirely at our discretion.

The suspensions are not granted to provide somewhere for vehicles to park.

Suspended bays are checked regularly. If the bays are used for purposes other than the reason stated on the application form, the suspension may be cancelled with immediate effect and no refund will be given.

How to apply

You can apply to suspend a parking bay using our  suspend a parking bay online form. We aim to assess your request and reply within two working days.

Notice period

You must give us at least seven working days' notice if you wish to suspend a parking bay so that we can:

  • check the bay's location
  • approve your request
  • warn other users of the forthcoming suspension.

Once we have approved your parking bay suspension, we will contact you for payment, which can be made by debit or credit card. Please note, we do not accept American Express cards.

We will make every effort to ensure the suspension is successful. However if the suspension is not available due to circumstances beyond our control, no refund will be given
