Renew your parking permit
Once you have received your Permit Renewal letter and you wish to renew your Waverley parking permit, please visit our Permit renewal page and follow the simple online instructions.
How do I apply for a Waverley resident parking permit in areas C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, P or S?
Complete the resident parking permit application form which will be submitted to the parking team for review.
Providing you meet the criteria for a parking permit you will be sent an application form to complete and return. If you do not meet the criteria we will contact you to explain why.
What documents we need
To complete your application, you must send these documents with your application form:
Proof of residency - showing your name and Waverley address (for example, a current utility bill, bank statement, tenancy agreement, council tax or mortgage statement).
Vehicle registration document (V5C) showing your name, Waverley address and vehicle details (including registration and engine size). If you do not yet have the V5C registered in your name, and with your Waverley address, or this document is not available immediately, then you may send us the vehicle insurance certificate. This will enable us to begin processing your application and generate a temporary permit for you.
Please note: the full permit will not be available until the correct V5C document has been seen by us.
Your application will be checked and we will contact you with an update and advise the next steps.
Paying for your resident parking permit
If you receive an email approving your application, please pay online for your Guildford resident parking permit.
Once your payment is complete, you will receive an email confirming payment and your resident parking permit will be processed and sent out to you in the post.
Please ensure you clearly display your permit in your car at all times.
Incomplete or unapproved applications
- If your application is accepted but not all documentation has been received, you may receive a temporary 30-day permit. This will cover you until we receive all documents. This may apply to new Waverley residents who don't have an updated V5C, in this instance please send the current V5C and the updated V5C once received by secure email to permits@guildford.gov.uk. Please note, we do not accept responsibility for documents in transit.
If your application is not approved, you will receive an email advising the reasons, and if there are any further steps, you can take.
If you are unable to complete your application, please email permits@guildford.gov.uk.
