New Exhibition at Guildford House Gallery - One Day This Glass Will Break
Experiments in photography and printmaking are presented in a new Hayward Gallery Touring Exhibition, coming to Guildford House Gallery this month.
One Day This Glass Will Break is a collection of works by artist Cornelia Parker.
The exhibition includes twenty large-scale photogravures from three series:
- Thirty Pieces of Silver (exposed) (2015)
- One Day This Glass Will Break (2015) and
- Fox Talbot's Art.
In her 'spectral still-life' prints, objects such as glass and melting ice have been placed onto photosensitive copper plates and exposed to light, to create images.
The exhibition runs from Saturday 13 May to Saturday 10 June 2023. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm (last entry 4pm).
