"The quality of our air affects everyone, that's why we all have a role to play in improving it. There are simple things everyone can do that make a big difference. The first thing we can all do is cut down our car use. If you're coming to Cleaner Air Day in Guildford, think about how you're getting there. Do you live close by? Swap the car for walking or cycling. If you're coming from further away, share a ride with friends, get the bus or train, or even drive or cycle partway and use public transport to reach your final destination."

Lead Councillor for Commercial Services, Cllr Catherine Houston adds:

"We're thrilled to offer a free event that brings our community together. Cleaner Air Day is a celebration for all ages to learn about air quality and have fun. This event will combine environmental, education and awareness activities. I encourage everyone to save the date, Sunday 29 September, come along and get involved with the free activities on offer on closed roads."
