Get funding for your Guildford community project
We're starting the next round of Crowdfund Guildford funding for community projects. The fund is the best way for local people to get support for ideas that matter to our community.
You can get the tools and confidence you need to start your crowdfunding campaign at a free online workshop. This will take place on Tuesday 28 January, from 12noon to 1pm.
The deadline for project submissions is Wednesday 12 March.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Julia McShane, says: "The Spring round of funding is now open to help our local community create the change they want to see. Your ideas matter and we're here to help make them happen.
"If you have a vision for your community, Crowdfund Guildford is the number one way to get our support for your ideas. Give your project a boost, get the funding you need, and gain the support of your community along the way.
"I encourage everyone to register for the free workshop - come along and find out how together we can help to improve our communities for everyone."
We provide two great funding options to help make community projects come to life:
Fund one: standard projects
- funding up to £5,000
- great for small local community projects in Guildford borough
- raise money from the community, and we will add up to £5,000 more or up to 50% of the total project fundraising target.
Fund two: large capital projects
- funding up to £25,000
- perfect for big projects like fixing community centres, or improving parks
- for every pound raised, we can give up to £25,000 more to support big ideas, or up to 50% of the total project fundraising target.
We want to help fund projects that:
- help vulnerable groups
- make rural areas better
- improve green spaces
- encourage people to enjoy nature
- improve wellbeing
We also encourage schools and Parish Councils to apply for funding.
