Household Support Fund
What you need to know
The latest and seventh round of Household Support Funding has been announced. It runs between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026.
The amount allocated to Surrey was £9. 3m which is a 12% reduction on previous rounds. The Department of Work and Pensions to Surrey County Council allocate the funding to schemes and organisations that help those families who are struggling financially in Surrey.
This latest round of funding will be allocated by Surrey County Council, to provide services and support to residents in Guildford and across Surrey in the best way.
Further information is available on the Surrey County Council Household Support Fund website page. (opens new window)
We will no longer be operating a local Household Support Fund application-based scheme for our residents. In future, Guildford households that meet a certain criteria will need to apply to Surrey County Council. The scheme will open later in the year.
Surrey County Council is developing this new scheme in partnership with the borough and district councils across the County and we will provide further information about how to apply when it is available.
