Find out about Developer Contributions and Community Infrastructure Levy

At the moment, we use section 106 agreements to secure developer contributions for new infrastructure.

The Council has not introduced a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). 

The Government intended to introduce a new Infrastructure Levy following publication of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act (2023) although it has since indicated an intent not to progress this. We will be monitoring further developments and any implications for the Council. We have not yet set a timetable for introducing a CIL.
