Mayor's Award for Service to the Community
This year's winners of the Mayor's Award for Service to the Community show the incredible dedication of volunteers across our borough.
In total 27 individuals and organisations received a Mayor's Award for Service to the Community 2026. This award recognises individuals, groups and organisations who have gone above and beyond to serve their local community.
Councillor Howard Smith, The Mayor of Guildford, said:
"Where would our communities be without the dedication and commitment of volunteers like these? From weekly sessions to monthly groups and seasonal events these individuals work tirelessly for the good of our communities. It's incredible to discover that many of those receiving awards this year have been actively volunteering for over 20 years, continuing traditions and supporting organisations over many decades."
"I know these individuals do not seek recognition for the work that they do, but it is clearly appreciated. I'm pleased that today we can publicly recognise the positive difference they're making in Guildford Borough."
