Aspire community grants
Aspire community grant applications are now open.
Small projects and activities can claim funding for one-off costs up to £1,000.
Who can apply?
- informal groups - such as neighbours/residents groups, a playgroup, a women's group, an older adults group
- non for profit voluntary and community organisations
- registered charities
- Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO)
- Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASC)
- Community Interest Companies (CIC)
- Social Enterprises
Organisations receiving funding from the council through separate funding agreements are not eligible.
What can the grant funding be used for?
- kits and sports equipment
- new projects, events and festivals
- catering/refreshments
- hall hires
- hiring instructors, councillors and trainers
- project management cost and expenses
- insurance
- environmental clean ups and events
- cultural and sports courses benefitting the community
How to apply?
- applications for the grant need to be submitted using the Aspire Application Form (Word doc, 370 KB)
- applications are accepted on a rolling-basis
- incomplete applications will not be assessed
- Successful applicants will need to complete the Community Grants Evaluation Form.
