What you need to know

The UK is currently experiencing a large outbreak of Bird Flu. Some wild birds may be infected.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has said that the risk of Bird Flu is very low. But it's still important that you do not pick up or touch sick or dead birds.

Report sick or injured wild birds

You can report sick or injured wild birds to:

  • RSPCA on 0300 1234 999

They may be able to help.

Do not report sick or injured wild birds to Defra or the Animal and Plant Health Agency.

Reporting dead wild birds on our land

We only remove dead wild birds from public land. This includes our parks and green spaces.

To report it to us make sure you:
