Refugees and Resettlement Support

Guildford Borough Council is committed to supporting refugees and helping them to build safe and fulfilling lives in our community. In collaboration with the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence, Guildford has welcomed a number of families from Afghanistan.

These families have been housed in privately rented accommodation across the borough. Resettlement Team works closely with these families to help them settle into life in the UK. This support includes assistance with housing, education, healthcare, employment, and community integration. The support is provided over a three-year period to ensure families have the time and resources to thrive.
