Local government in Surrey is changing, from 1 April 2027, Guildford Borough Council and Surrey County Council will be replaced by a new unitary authority called West Surrey Council.

Tree work to increase light levels to a nearby property

There is no legal restriction on the size a tree can grow.
We do not prune our trees to increase light levels to a nearby property. We focus our limited resources where they are most needed . This includes work to trees that reduces the risk of harm to persons or property.
