Take part in a landmark Government consultation on proposals to replace Surrey's current councils with up to three larger authorities. We support a three unitary approach - Find out more and read our consultation question guide.

Join us at an online or in-person event where you find out more about Local Government Organisation, ask questions and find out how to have your say.

Stoke Park

Friends of Stoke Park

What is a friends group?

The friends group is a collection of people who:

  • value their local parks and open spaces
  • want to enhance their local parks to meet the needs of the local community
  • provide link between the council and residents
  • share their views and ideas about the future of the park

What can friends groups do?

  • discuss views and concerns about the park
  • raise issues about maintenance or improvements
  • produce leaflets, newsletters or a history of the park
  • set up a website or social media page about your park and the friends' activities
  • organise events such as bulb and tree planting, clear-up days or picnics
  • apply for grants for some of the things above

If you would like to join the Friends of Stoke Park or Friends of Castle Grounds and Allen House Grounds email list, email parks@guildford.gov.uk.
