Apprentices or youth trainees
How to apply
To apply, you'll need to:
- log in to your MyGuildford account (opens new window)
- click the 'council tax and benefits' tile
- select 'continue' on the 'view other services' page
- select 'council tax' on the 'your services' page
- on your account summary page, find the list of quick links
- if you're using a computer or laptop these will be on the right-hand side of the screen
- if you're using a mobile device, click 'quick links'
- in the list of quick links find 'apply for or cancel a disregard'
- fill in the form telling us:
- the name of the person in your household
- the date they moved in with you or the date they became an apprentice or youth trainee
You'll need to upload:
- a letter from the school or college. The letter must confirm they are enrolled on an approved training scheme
- a letter from the apprentice's employer. It must say the start and end dates of the apprenticeship and the amount the apprentice is being paid. It must state that the apprenticeship will lead to an accredited qualification
