Oak Processionary Moth

Oak processionary moth caterpillars (OPM) and their nests are in this woodland and may be in oak trees within the campsite area. OPM caterpillars carry thousands of microscopic urticating hairs which can cause minor to severe skin rash, respiratory and eye problems. Caterpillars or their nests should not be approached or touched.

We aim to remove nests from oak trees within the campsite area as soon as possible.
