Community magic at The Hive
In the heart of our community, there's a buzz of festive spirit in the air. At the Hive, our community hub, something magical has been taking place. Our annual Community Christmas Present Drive has returned! Thanks to our Community Wellbeing team, families needing a helping hand this Christmas will get presents again this year.
We've been able to share the joy with over 400 presents! Our friends at Guildford High School—both the big kids and the little ones—teamed up to collect them. They've filled our community sleigh with enough to put presents under 120 families' trees on Christmas day. Our Community Wellbeing team set up special spots around our borough where families can get their presents. This way, everyone can pick up their gifts before Christmas and presents are given to those who need them most.
But this effort wasn't a solo mission—it was a group effort. We teamed up with groups like Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and Home School Link Workers to reach families who needed a little extra help. Families who've received support from the Household Support Fund were also top priority.
We understand that some of our residents need ongoing support. Beyond the festive season, our Community Wellbeing team offers continuous support services. Whether you visit us in person at The Hive or find information about The Hive services online, we're here to help you when you need it most.
