Chantry woods is a short distance from Guildford town centre and has 200 acres of woodland and meadows ready for you to explore. 

Coming by car? Chantry Wood car park is along Pilgrims Way. To find it you can search your sat nav for "Chantries Car Park, GU4 8AW".  

Coming by public transport? The 25 or 26 us service from Guildford town centre stop near Chantry Woods. Get off at the "Chantry Woods" bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the woods.

Whether you're seeking excitement, a place to unwind, or just a breath of fresh air, a walk through Chantry Woods promises a memorable experience. 

Starting from the South side, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Chilworth and Chinthurst Hill. Across the way, catch sight of St. Martha's perched on the opposite hill. 

Pause for a break at one of the benches scattered throughout the woods, providing the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch surrounded by nature's beauty. 

With a range of trails suitable for all ages and abilities, Chantry Woods is an ideal destination for a family outing, offering something delightful for everyone to enjoy!

Chantry Woods changes with the seasons in all their glory. From vibrant spring blooms to the hues of autumn foliage, there's no wrong time to plan your visit.  

We recommend a spring visit to witness the magical moment bluebells carpet the woodland floor. To get the best view of the bluebells carpeting the woodland floor in spring, head to the Chantry Wood campsite. Follow the track from Halfpenny Lane to the campsite, where the thickest carpet of bluebells awaits.
