Shere Parish Council By-Election (South East Ward)

A vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor at Shere Parish Council to represent the people of the South East Ward of that parish. The required number of registered voters have duly claimed a by-election to fill the vacancy.

If a by-election is contested, the poll would be held on Thursday 14 November 2024.

The official Notice of Election contains important deadline dates that prospective candidates and voters may need.

Eligible persons who wish to be candidates at this by-election must deliver duly completed nomination papers to the Returning Officer as soon as possible, but in any event by no later than 4pm on Friday 18 October 2024.

Other statutory public notices will be published on this page as the election timetable progresses if the by-election is contested. If only one candidate were to be nominated, no poll would be taken, and that person would be declared elected uncontested.
