Contaminated land public register
Local authorities must keep a public register of contaminated land, per Section 78(R) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
The register must include:
- site information
- remediation notices
- appeals against remediation notices
- remediation declarations
- remediation statements
- appeals against charging notices
- notices designating land as 'special sites'
- notification of remediation
- convictions for non-compliance with the notices
- statement regarding existence of confidential information
- other matters prescribed by regulations
- notices terminating the designation of land as a special site
Public Register Summary:
Currently, our public register does not contain any contaminated land entries.
