Household Support Fund

What you need to know

This funding has now closed for new applications.

The latest and seventh round of Household Support Funding has been announced. It runs between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026.

The amount allocated from The Department of Work and Pensions to Surrey was £9. 3m which was a 12% reduction on previous rounds. Surrey County Council will allocate the funding to schemes and organisations that help those families who are struggling financially in Surrey.

We will no longer be operating a local Household Support Fund application-based scheme for our residents. Guildford households will need to apply to Surrey County Council.

Everyday Essentials E-voucher Scheme

Surrey County Council is offering financial support through the Household Support Fund for eligible Surrey residents. This support comes as an E-voucher that can be used at a supermarket of your choice to help with the cost of everyday essentials. Applications are open on a monthly basis until March 2026 or until funding runs out. Eligible residents can apply on Surrey County Councils website (opens new window)

Further information is available on the Surrey County Council Household Support Fund website (opens new window).
