MyGuildford Account help
MyGuildford is a free online service that allows you to request council services and track progress of those requests.
Why should I register for MyGuildford?
Registering with MyGuildford will allow you to:
- check information about where you live, such as your bin days, nearby planning applications and your local councillors
- report and track issues like missed bin collections, graffiti and fly tipping online
- view your council tax account online
- make applications, book and pay for services and track their progress online
You can make some requests without creating an account. If you do create an account, your details will be remembered and you won't have to enter them every time.
Business accounts
If you own a business in Guildford then you can create a business account. This will enable you to request other business-related services, such as arranging commercial waste collections and viewing your business rates account online.
To create a business account, you'll need to click 'Switch to register for a Business Account' on the registration page (opens new window).
If you register for a business account and we already have a contact for your business registered, we will contact your business to check who should have access.
My registration email hasn't arrived
Your registration email should arrive in a minute or less. If it hasn't arrived, please check the junk folder in your email account.

Council tax, benefits, business rates and landlord accounts
When you have a MyGuildford account, you can get access to your council tax and benefits accounts. Landlords can view benefits accounts linked to their properties.
To set this up, click on the service name on the MyGuildford home page, for example 'Council tax'. The first time you do this you will need to provide some extra information, to help us to identify the right account. You only have to do this once. You must use the same title, name and address that you have listed on your council tax bill.
Sometimes we cannot match the details you provide with our records. If that happens our customer services team will be informed and will resolve this for you. They may contact you to ask for some extra information.
Problems logging in to MyGuildford
There are four reasons why you might not be able to log in:
- wrong username
- wrong password
- your account has been blocked for security reasons (too many wrong password entries)
- you have not activated your account within seven days of registration
We cannot give out or reset passwords. You need to do this yourself on the forgotten password page (opens new window)
Your username is the email address you used when you registered. If you have forgotten this, or your account has been blocked, please contact customer services by calling 01483 505050.
