View your council tax, benefit or business rates account

For council tax and business rates, once you have been through a short registration process you can: 

  • log in at a time that suits you - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 
  • view account balances, see what you've paid and when 
  • sign up for paperless e-billing and receive email alerts when your bill is available online 
  • change payment method or bank details, and set up a Direct Debit 
  • request a copy bill 
  • upload documents 

For housing benefit and council tax support, you can: 

  • see the status of your claim and entitlement 
  • see when your next Housing Benefit payment is due and the amount 
  • view your benefit notifications 
  • report a change 
  • upload documents

You'll just need to: 

  1. sign up for a MyGuildford account 
  2. once you're signed up, sign into your new MyGuildford account and click the 'Business Rates', 'Council Tax' or 'Benefits' tile 
  3. follow the on-screen instructions (you'll need your council tax or business rates account number, which can be found on your latest bill, or your National Insurance number for benefits) 
  4. your account is validated and you can now access your account 

With a MyGuildford Account you can also: 

  • check your bin collection day 
  • pay your council tax or business rates  
  • manage your council services including missed bins and bulky waste orders 
  • get a quicker response to your requests, track the progress of your requests, and get information based on your address
