Hot weather

Bin collections

Due to the high temperatures, our bin crews will also be starting collections earlier than usual to help keep them safe in the heat. Please make sure your bins are out the night before, as collections will take place from 5.30am for the rest of the week. Thank you for helping our crews work safely during the hot weather.

Equalities - Equality Framework for Local Government

The Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG) is a simple performance improvement and benchmarking tool. It helps local councils to meet their obligations under the Equality Act 2010. 

There are four improvement modules: 

  1. Understanding and working with your communities 

  2. Leadership and organisation commitment 

  3. Responsive services and customer care

  4. Diverse and engaged workforce 

Under the framework there are three levels of achievement:

  • Developing

  • Achieving

  • Excellent

We are currently graded as 'Achieving' and are working towards 'Excellent'.
