Statement of Community Involvement

Our Statement of Community Involvement explains how we involve the community when we:

  • prepare planning policies
  • prepare planning guidance
  • consider planning applications

We met on 26th May 2020 to adopt the statement. Read the minutes.

Community Engagement Strategy

The strategy explains how everyone working and living in Guildford can get involved in local issues. It guides how we engage with the following groups when we provide services:

  • our communities
  • interested people
  • organisations

The strategy also guides our partners, including:

  • the county council
  • the police
  • health services

We've made sure we inform, consult, and involve the community as much as possible. Icon for pdf Learn how we've done this in the past [441.99KB].

Public consultation of our Community Engagement Strategy ended on 2 June 2011. Your comments inspired changes to the draft document. The strategy was approved by the Local Strategic Partnership Board on 14 July 2011.
