You can apply for a premises licence if you are supplying alcohol or entertainment or late night refreshments, on or off the premises.
How to advertise your application
You must place two advertisements of the application during the representation period:
- the first advertisement must be on the outside of the property on light blue A4 paper. The advertisement should be on display for 28 days starting the day after you submit your application. Use this window advertisement (Word doc, 144 KB)
- the second advertisement should appear in a newspaper within 10 working days of submitting your application. Use this newspaper advertisement (Word doc, 141 KB)
- send a copy of the advertisement to the licensing unit. If you do not do this it could result in the application being rejected
Will tacit consent apply?
Yes. We have a target completion period of 56 days for this notice. We aim to acknowledge your application and to begin processing it within this period. If you have not heard from us by the end of this period you can act as though your application is granted.
