Hot weather

Bin collections

Due to the high temperatures, our bin crews will be starting collections earlier than usual to help keep them safe in the heat. Please make sure your bins are out the night before, as collections will take place from 5.30am for the rest of the week. Thank you for helping our crews work safely during the hot weather.

Has your bin been damaged, lost or been stolen? If so, we can provide replacements for:

  • garden waste bins
  • green recycling bins
  • black refuse bins

If you want a different size bin you can swap for a smaller or larger bin..  You can also order additional bins in certain circumstances.

Fees

  • there is a £37 replacement fee for garden waste bins and refuse bins
  • recycling bins may have a fee depending on your circumstances

Collect a food caddy

You do not need to order a replacement food caddy. You can collect a new food waste caddy from locations around the borough..
