Have your say on the future of local councils in Surrey

Take part in a landmark Government consultation on proposals to replace Surrey's current councils with up to three larger authorities. We support a three unitary approach - Find out more and read our consultation question guide.

Join us for a special online engagement session hosted by the Leaders of Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils on Thursday 3 July from 7pm to 8pm via Microsoft Teams. We'll explain what Local Government Reorganisation is, outline the different options being considered, and show you how to get involved. Sign up for the session (opens new window).

Report a missed bin collection

To make sure you can report the missed bin, check the following things:

  • Did you leave your bin out on time? We will not empty your bin if you do not leave them at your collection point by 6.30am on your collection day. This is usually the edge of your property closest to the road. You do not need to do this if you have an alternative arrangement like an assisted collection.
  • Is there a label on your bin? We'll attach a label to your bin if we're unable to collect it. The label will explain why we've left it. If your bin has a label, it is not a missed collection.
  • How long ago did we miss your bin? You must report your missed bin within two days of the collection date. You can check your bin collection days on our website. If it's been more than two days since we missed your bin, you'll have to wait until your next collection day.
