Tenant & Leaseholder Sounding Board

We're setting up a new Tenant & Leaseholder Sounding Board — a group of residents who want to have their say on the issues that matter most.

The Sounding Board will be made up of tenants and leaseholders from across Guildford. It's a flexible way to get involved, give feedback, and help shape the future of your housing service - without needing to attend regular meetings.

What does the Sounding Board do?

As a member of the Sounding Board, you'll be invited to:

  • Take part in short surveys and polls
  • Review draft policies, strategies or documents
  • Test ideas and give feedback before decisions are made
  • Share your experience of services like repairs, complaints or estate management
  • Join occasional focus groups or workshops (if you're interested)

You can choose how and when to take part -online, by phone, or by post. There's no pressure, and you can opt out at any time.

Why join?

Your views will:

  • Help us design services that work better for residents
  • Make sure real tenant voices are heard before changes are made
  • Improve transparency, fairness, and value for money

We'll always let you know how your feedback has been used and what changes have been made as a result.

Who can join?

Any Guildford Borough Council tenant or leaseholder can sign up — whether you're new to engagement or already involved in other groups.

We especially welcome residents from underrepresented communities or those who haven't been involved before.
