Housing options - houses for rent and for sale

We advertise council and housing association properties through the Guildford Homechoice website.

If you are unsure what type of housing might be available to you, our housing options toolkit will provide you with information and advice.

Due to a shortage of council and housing association properties, there are more households on the register than properties available. This means you may face a very long wait before being successful in receiving an offer of accommodation. Unfortunately many on the Council's housing register may never receive an offer. Therefore you may need to explore other housing solutions, which may be faster and meet your needs in the short or long term.

If your housing need is more urgent there are organisations that can offer you advice and support with your housing problems including the Council's housing advice centre, specialist housing advisers based at the Citizens Advice Bureau or Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity. An adviser will go through your personal situation with you to help you decide what the best options for you are.
