Made amendments to parking controls - Guildford Borough Council

Made amendments to parking controls

Guildford Borough Council has made a number of amendments to its public car parks. These changes will come into effect on Monday 19th May 2025.

They include:

  1. making the electric vehicle charge point spaces at various car parks enforceable, to prevent misuse
  2. introducing a permit scheme at Guildford Lido car park (Guildford), to prioritise space for users of Guildford Lido
  3. extending the control hours (but not the charging hours) at Lawn Road and Millmead House car parks (Guildford) to allow enforcement against inconsiderate parking
  4. removal of limited waiting, charges and no return restrictions at Sutherland Memorial Park car park (Burpham), to increase the flexibility of use, but retain the ability to enforce against inconsiderate parking
  5. revocation of various other formalised controls where car parks have been closed, or no longer considered as requiring formalised parking controls
  • Bellerby Theatre car park
  • College Road car park
  • Commercial Road 1 car park
  • Commercial Road 2 car park
  • Guildford Youth and Community car park
  • Kingston Meadows car park, East Horsley
