Tenants engagement group

Who are TEG?

Teg are a group of volunteers of tenants and leaseholders who care about our homes and the people who live in them. They work with us to enable all our housing to be the best.

Joining TEG is a great way to get involved in your local community. It is also a way to help shape our housing service.

What do TEG do?

They have a key legal duty to check our housing services. This includes anti-social behaviour, property vacancies, and repair timeliness. It's a must for all councils to have a tenants group, as outlined in the governments Social Housing White Paper.

They provide a safe and independent contact for anyone who needs help or advice on housing.

Their mission

Their mission is to enhance lives and communities across Guildford Borough Housing. They want to ensure our homes and services meet the changing needs and expectations of our tenants.

They do this by teaming up with other tenants and leaseholders. Making sure everyone's homes are the best they can be.

They want to make sure that residents have a voice and that we value their opinions in decision-making.

You can contact TEG by emailing them at Tenants.Group@guildford.gov.uk .
